Project Description Country: USA Location: Grapevine, Texas Total Budget: $3,000 Area of Focus: Economic and community development Activity Type: Community Development: General Summary: Discressionary Fund to bolster Grapevine PD image and to use to help meet local needs. A fund will be set up for Grapevine police officers to use to help small specific needs that they identify in the community, particularly with local youth. e.g. If a police officer stops a young person on a bike and finds out they didn't wear a helmet because their family can't afford one, the officer could get one. This will enable police officers to help individuals in a special way and in doing so, improve the image of the police department among those they are most trying to help and protect.
