Project Description Country: USA Location: Decatur, TX Total Budget: $3,000 Area of Focus: Basic education and literacy Activity Type: Education: Scholarships Summary: Provide three $1,000 scholarships to graduating high school seniors Through district grant of $1,500 and matching funds of $1,500, Rotary Club of Decatur will grant three $1,000 scholarships to graduating high school seniors in May of 2016. Awards will be based on scholarship, financial need, and community service/"service above self." Five to eight club members will be involved in distributing scholarships applications, serving on the selection committee, and presenting scholarships certificates to recipients.
