Project Description Country: USA Location: Grapevine Total Budget: $10,000 Area of Focus: Economic and community development Activity Type: Community Development: General Summary: To purchase a Rotary Clock to help celebrate Grapevine RC's 50th Anniversary The Grapevine RC will celebrate it's 50th Anniversary in 2016/2017. To help celebrate this anniversary and to add to the City of Grapevine's Historic District, the Grapevine RC will purchase and install a Rotary Clock to recognize 50 years of service to our community and to our world. Addendum to Project Description (added after the project was signed) We originally estimated the cost of the clock to be about $10,000 but as we looked at the available clocks, considering this was for our GRC 50th Anniversary, the City of Grapevine had always wanted a magnificent 4-Sided clock that would fit in with the historic charater and that we had funds available that should be invested in something significant, the Board decided to go for the best available instrument. The total cost was $31,639, with the Grapevine RC providing all funds over the $2,500 district grant.
