Project Description Country: USA Location: Gillette, Wyoming Total Budget: $3,000 Area of Focus: Maternal and child health Activity Type: Health: General Summary: The goal of this project would be to provide basic hygiene items for the students of the five Title I Elementary Schools in Gillette, Wyoming. Nine elementary schools in Gillette, Wyoming, have been designated as "Title I" Schools. These schools have a high population of "free and reduced lunch" students, students of poverty and students lacking basic hygiene supplies. The two Gillette Rotary Clubs would like to form a partnership to assist each of these schools to set up a fund to purchase such basic items as, deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrushes, shampoo, combs, brushes, underwear, socks and other items to assist with their basic hygiene needs. Each of the two Rotary Clubs (Gillette Evening and Gillette Energy) would contribute $500 ($1000) for a district match of $1000 for each $500.
