Project Description Country: USA Location: Arlington Total Budget: $6,000 Areas of Focus: Disease prevention and treatment, Maternal and child health, Basic education and literacy, Economic and community development Activity Type: Community Development: General Summary: Provide shelter and education for foster children/adults phasing out of foster care. Phased IN is a transitional living program for emancipated foster youth. The goal of Phased IN is to assist these young adults in learning basic life skills that will prepare them for independent living. Phased IN will provide housing, education, medical care and life skills training. With the combined partnership of the Arlington Sunrise Rotary, the community, Phased IN will embrace these youth who were never adopted to ensure that these young adults achieve self-sufficiency and stability. Finally, Phased IN will provide the most vital and missing dynamic in the lives of these young adults - Family. Addendum to Project Description (added after the project was signed) We have run into an opportunity that we need to adjust the funding for the Phased In. We would like to amend the project to the required architecture fees and the asbestos removal required prior to beginning the remodel and allowing Phased In residents to take move into the building.
