Project Description Country: USA Location: Laguna Beach Total Budget: $504 Area of Focus: Basic education and literacy Activity Type: Education: Literacy Summary: 281 Dictionaries provided to 3rd grade students in Laguna Beach school district. Many children attending public and private elementary schools in Laguna Beach do not have extra resources to purchase dictionaries. Dictionaries are ordered for all third grade students in the Laguna Beach school district. The Interact students put the Rotary stickers on each of the dictionaries. The distribution is coordinated with the principal of each school. The dictionaries are ordered in March 2013 from The Dictionary Project and will be distributed in April 2013 to the schools listed below. A small presentation of who and what the Rotary Club is is made to the third graders before distributing the dictionaries.
