The playground equipment at La Paloma Elementary School is used seven days a week by students, youth sports groups, after school programs and the general public. The equipment is worn and loose and wood fiber cushioning beneath the equipment has disappeared. The school principal and assistant principal have identified rennovation of this equipment as a high priority that they lack funds to complete. This project would repair / replace worn chin up bars and swing set, rebuild fiber cushioning pits beneath the equipment and replace missing wood chips.
The rennovated equipment will create a safer, more attractive campus and encourage, stronger, healthier children. Healthier children miss fewer days of school due to illness, improve their concentration in the classroom and progress in their schoolwork. More children succeeding in their school studies will be reflected in improved test scores and grades and reflect well on the school as well as the entire school district.
The Fallbrook Village Rotary Club is willing to step in and support the needs of the school district in these times of budget reductions demonstrates a strong community support for the school district.
A strong school district makes the community a more attractive place for families with children to live, rent or buy homes, and purchase clothing, food and services in support of the local economy.
