Project Description Country: Kenya Location: Machakos Total Budget: $1,000 Area of Focus: Basic education and literacy Activity Type: Education: General Summary: Purchase of playground equipment for Malia Children’s Home (Orphanage) - Kenya. This grant will provide funds to purchase a mix of outdoor playground equipment for Malia Children's Home (Orphanage) in Machakos - Kenya. The home has over 60 full time resident children and a school with 155 students. They currently have no equipment. Having no equipment makes it challenging for young children who live at the orphanage. Playground equipment will help in their growth development and health. The equipment will benefit 185 students at the orphanage and school.
