Project Description Country: USA Location: Alma, NE Total Budget: $5,000 Area of Focus: Community economic development Activity Type: Community Development: Construction/Renovation Summary: Create and construct a new resting area at the Pheasant Point Arboretum Our club currently manages the trees and area at the Pheasant Point Arboretum local at Methodist Cove camp ground. This spot is also the end of the walking trail which starts in Alma where our club has a gazebo in town. The Corp of Engineers has agreed to our plan of pouring a 30'x 33' concrete slab and placing a 14' x 21' metal structure onsite. This will be a metal structure with a metal covering providing much needed shade. The club also intends to buy a couple picnic tables and install a metal grill onsite. The club intends to place "Alma Rotary" signs on the structure. This will be a nice facility for area residents and recreationalists to enjoy. The Alma club would like to request additional funds if they are available through the District. Addendum to Project Description (added after the project was signed) Clarification: Grants funds will be used to purchase material such as concrete, gazebo, picnic tables and a grill.
