Project Description Country: USA Location: Phoenix, Arizona Total Budget: $2,000 Areas of Focus: Disease prevention and treatment, Maternal and child health Activity Type: Health: General Summary: 40 Comfycozy's Care Packs to be distrubuted to children fighting cancer. Items will be purchase to be compiled to create 40 packs for children fighting cancer. The club members will assist Amanda Hope in compiling and distributing these packs. The packs will consist of: 1. backpacks to carry all the items in 2. Comfycozy's apparel: a shirt with zippers, snaps, pockets and openings to access the chemotherapy ports. 3. Mindfulness kits: puzzle and game package to help the children pass the time when receiving treatment. The apparel is colorful tie-dyed adaptive apparel that allows the child to remain clothed while receiving treatment. This aids in their privacy, changes perceptions and behaviors towards the children while battling their cancers.
