Project Description Country: USA Location: Twin Falls Total Budget: $13,266 Areas of Focus: Peacebuilding and conflict prevention, Disease prevention and treatment, Water, sanitation and hygiene, Maternal and child health, Community economic development Activity Type: Community Development: General Summary: Purchasing an enclosed trailer for Idaho Angels in the Magic Valley Idaho Angels is a local non-profit that provides temporary assistance to those struggling in our area by assisting with diapers, formula, clothing, smaller house hold items, hygiene products, back to school supplies, Christmas & more! They can step in and provide emergency financial assistance, as well as immediate assistance in the event of a disaster, such as a house fire; they will provide furniture and bedding and clothing to help ease the stress of the occupant. They need an enclosed trailer to be able to pick up and deliver donations within the community. They deliver holiday food baskets at Thanksgiving and Christmas as well as presents for the youngsters. When the community can donate large items like furniture they currently must borrow a trailer to be able to pick it up. The trailer is highly needed to be able to continue to offer support within the community. Our club would put a wrap on the trailer to advertise not only their non-profit but that it was provided by Rotary as well. The club plans to assist with the Holiday drive by collecting food and presents for them and helping deliver the items as well.
