Project Description

Country: USA

Location: Peoria, AZ

Total Budget: $1,500

Area of Focus: Basic education and literacy

Activity Type: Education: General

Summary: Provide USB drives to students in the Peoria Unified School District

The Superintendent of the Peoria Unified School District has told us that students need their own USB jump drives for their studies/assignments. Not all students can afford to purchase one of these drives. Supplying 350 of these drives would be of great help to the students who cannot afford to purchase one.

We intend to provide the 350 jump drives to the Superintendent in early August of 2022. We are planning a "media" event for this presentation of the drives which will include our club members. The Superintendent's office will distribute the drives to the appropriate faculty members throughout the school district.

Congratulations! The Rotary Foundation has approved our block grant, which means we'll have the funds soon.

As you know, you must wait until this point to spend any grant funds. Your final report, which is due April 30, must include

receipts for the entire budget of your grant (gather them as you go along, please) dated August 4 or later. The report form is

available in the Foundation section of rotary5495.org. Please be sure your bank information is up-to-date so there is no delay

in sending the funds by electronic transfer. This information, as well as questions about when you'll receive the money, should

be addressed to our District Treasurer, Lucinda General at treasurer@rotary5495.org

A friendly reminder: The report for this grant either has not been submitted or is incomplete. The deadline for reporting is April 30. Late reports can jeopardize your club’s future grants and delay receipt of next year’s funding for all clubs in the district. The report form can be found here:

https://rotary5495.org/documents/en-ca/c0624e12-9ef3-4796-8938-b56d80bde159/1

The completed, SIGNED form, along with all project RECEIPTS, must be uploaded in PDF format to the project website in order to close the project.

Thanks.
