Project Description Country: USA Location: Boise Total Budget: $2,705 Area of Focus: Basic education and literacy Activity Type: Education: Literacy Summary: Dictionaries provided to third graders in nine schools in the Eagle and Garden City area around Boise, Idaho The Rotary Club of Eagle/Garden City, at the beginning of the 2022 school year, will order special dictionaries from The Dictionary Project that also include facts about the world and the United States. Rotarians from our club will deliver them to the students in classrooms of third graders for free to nine different elementary schools. Each dictionary will have a label inside allowing the third grader to identify the book as their personnel book. It is important step to support education and literacy of young people in our community. At $3.50 each for 720 students equal $2,520 plus $185 for cost and printing the labels. You can provide this by adding to your projects narrative the cost per dictionary you intend to buy multiplied by the number of students estimated to be served to equal your total budget. If this does not get you to your budget and you are also buying stickers, bookmarks, etc., add those numbers too. This will tell us why your budget is $2705. Once you've done this, you can start the club signature process on the administration side of the description tab.
