Neil,
Can you remind Ursula your 22-23 President that she still needs to answer the qualifying questions and send them to Robin Steele or myself in order to qualify for a District grant in 22-23.
Thanks, Randy

We propose to expand the scope of the scholarships supported by this project in two ways:
1. To support clients of Project Self-Sufficiency at Ames Community College as well as Front Range Community College.
2. For students who are receiving Federal or State grants that pay for tuition and fees, we shall provide child care or other living expenses to enable them to attend college. Project Self-Sufficiency actively supervises client expenditures for living expenses. However, members of the Club's Local Projects committee will also continually monitor the scholarship recipient's academic progress and living expenditures.

We made contact with the subject student through Bring the Power/Project Self-Sufficiency. We recognize this was a mistake as we have had delays in getting information about the student's academic progress. We withheld our scholarship over the summer of 2024 because of poor grades and are working with her through Bring the Power/Project Self-Sufficiency to assess her progress. In the event that we determine that her academic progress is insufficient, we expect to deny further support. Although this grant is more than 2 years old, not all funds have been expended because of withholding of the scholarship during the student's periods of low academic performance.
