Summary: Transportation from schools for 4th & 5th graders to the annual Children's Outreach Concert of the Whittier Regional Symphony in Whittier, California.
This special symphony concert introduces children to classical music and symphony instruments as a supplement to their standard education. The concert will be held in January 2023 with students transported from their elementary schools in five school districts to the auditorium of Whittier High School. Over 2,000 students will attend. Our total contribution of $3,000 will pay for a major part of the bus costs. The Whittier Regional Symphony (https://www.whittierregionalsymphony.org/index.html) manages the effort and underwrites the costs of the concert. Our members will be present on concert day(s) to assist with the unboarding and reboarding of buses. We also manage handicapped parking and assistance to those arriving from several area senior residences during the four regular free concerts of the Symphony during the year.
