Summary: Scholarships for Culinary Arts Students at Tarrant County College
TCC has roughly 400 students in their Culinary Arts program every year and every one of them qualifies for financial aid. These students come in all sizes, shapes, colors and ages seeking to learn skills in a field that they enjoy and that they hope will enable them to realize their dreams of a job, new business and/or a career that will enable them to support themselves and their families from now on.
The financial aid helps, but these scholarships put them over the top where they can go to school full time to earn their degree or certificate in the least amount of time. The scholarships are given to students in need financially but to those that also have the ability and ambition to succeed. The scholarships not only provide financial support but recognition that someone is rewarding them with this opportunity for their past hard work - for many the first such recognition they have ever received. We are changing lives.
Note that if the student maintains a C+ or better GPA and takes at least 12 credit hours in the first year, the TCC Foundation will match the scholarship amount for the second year, per our MOU with the college.
