Project Description Country: USA Location: Garden Grove Total Budget: $3,000 Area of Focus: Maternal and child health Activity Type: Community Development: General Summary: This project provides essential clothing items, toothbrushes/toothpaste and reading books for children, K-12 referred to the Assistance League of Garden Grove We are requesting a matching grant totaling $3,000 ($1,500 from the Garden Grove Rotary Club and $1.500 from District 5320) for the purpose of supplying clothing items such as new underwear, especially much needed plus size t-shirts, toothbrushes/toothpaste and reading books for children, K-12. These recipients are being dressed by the Assistance League of Garden Grove. This project benefits students referred to the Assistance League of Garden Grove by the Garden Grove Unified School District faculty when they see the need for assisting a student. This project is ongoing throughout the whole school year; however, the inventory will be provided to the Assistance League of Garden Grove between October through April with 2-5 volunteers from Garden Grove Rotary assisting in stocking the dressing room.
