Project Description Country: Mexico Location: Tijuana Total Budget: $1,986 Area of Focus: Peacebuilding and conflict prevention Activity Type: RI Youth Programs (Youth Exchange, RYLA, Rotaract, Interact) Summary: Building on our project of April 30, 2022 we plan to increase the number of students and enrich their RYLA experience. Students from 2 schools in Tijuana were identified and participated in a one day RYLA event on April 30, 2022. The involved faculty, Rotarians of Monarch Beach Sunrise (MBSRC) and e-club de Noroeste Global (RECNGT) considered this event, presented to 38 students, a success. Our 2 clubs will expand the program to include more students. We aim to increase the scope of the experience by: 1.) more active participation of our Rotary members in attendance with the students, and 2.) aiming for the faculty to focus on student participation in exercises designed for them to discover their leadership styles and practice effective communication, team building and problem solving.
