Project Description Country: USA Location: Santa Ana Total Budget: $2,840 Areas of Focus: Basic education and literacy, Community economic development Activity Type: Community Development: General Summary: Skateboard workshop will provide training and parts to build a skateboard for youth in need of transportation to get to school in Santa Ana, CA. Lack of transportation to school for youth has been identified in several neighborhoods in Santa Ana, CA. This project will assist youth in the neighborhood receive training and a free skateboard; while others receive assistance in repairing skateboards. Safety training will also be offered at the 1-day workshop. The project funds will be used to purchase parts and accessories to build and repair skateboards. Six to eight club members will participate with procuring the parts and assisting at workshop.
