Project Description Country: USA Location: Tustin Ca Total Budget: $4,000 Area of Focus: Basic education and literacy Activity Type: Education: General Summary: TEACHERS FOR TUSD SUBMIT PROPOSALS FOR VARIOUS PROJECTS THAT THEY NEED FUNDING FOR. BUDGET $4000.00. CLUB MAY HAVE TO PROVIDE MORE DEPENDING UPON TEACHER IDEAS PRESENTED. Teachers in the Tustin Unified School District live are requesting funds for new projects that want to institute. Tustin Unified School District has not provided funds for these projects. The teacher good ideas allows us to help the teachers purchase various materials for their ideas. Rotarians are able to determine what new projects to fund and see how they work by talking with the teachers themselves. Total budget for the project is $4000 that will provide each teacher who is selected to be funded for their project for the coming school year. The Tustin/Santa Ana Rotary club has budgeted $2509 and requests a $1491 match from District 5320. Publicity will be in our club newsletter and a press release to local papers. Club members will: 1. Contact the teachers in the TUSD. 2. Evaluate project ideas from various elementary, middle schools and high school teachers. Approximately 30% of Rotarians are involved throughout the process. Sustainability: The Club started this program approximately over 25 years ago and it was well received by the Tustin Unified School District and will continue to do this into the future. The match allows the Club to increase the number of projects funded.
