Project Description Country: USA Location: Chula Vista Total Budget: $1,000 Area of Focus: The environment Activity Type: Water: Volunteer Services Summary: Providing supplies and equipment to support coastal and community cleanups The Living Coast Discovery Center is a non-profit organization that has been active in preserving the south San Diego Bay wetlands and native species for over 30 years. The Living Coast reaches thousands of children through field trips, educational outreaches, and community education programs. The Living Coast also sponsors local Chula Vista cleanups once per month to beautify our community and remove litter from our parks and waterways to support local wildlife. Rotary Grant funds will be used to purchase clean up supplies such as buckets, grabbers, gloves and other supplies during the 2022-23 year. Rotarians will volunteer at clean up events at least twice a year, at the California Coastal Clean Up in May and for Operation Clean Sweep.
