Project Description Country: Mexico Location: Baja California Total Budget: $7,000 Areas of Focus: Disease prevention and treatment, Maternal and child health Activity Type: Health: Disease Summary: Projects working with Children of Congental Facial Differences related to Cleft Lip and Palate need updated anesthesia equipment for safe procedures and surgery. The projects of Rotary-Smiles International Foundation partnerships have been providing surgical dentofacial corrections for children afflicted with Cleft Lip and Palate congenital deformities for years in the regions of Baja-Mexico. Anesthesia equipment needs have arisen that require purchase of intraoperative and postoperative suction aspirators and general anesthesia monitor electronics for safe administration of pediatric anesthesia services during their facial reconstructions. Purchase of several aspirators units and a new EKG monitor with CO2, O2, and Temp monitoring capability will help provide this safety in future missions. Purchase, shipping, delivery and installation will occur within the Rotary Year from July 2022 to July 2023 during the year's mission dates.
