Project Description Country: USA Location: Escondido Total Budget: $1,500 Area of Focus: Basic education and literacy Activity Type: Education: Scholarship Summary: Award scholarships to 3-5 seniors enrolled in the mentoring programs of MANA de North County San Diego, a 5013c All seniors enrolled in the mentoring programs of MANA de North County who have met the criteria for applying for the scholarship will be invited to apply. Board members of MANA de North County will review the applications and decide on the amount of the scholarship based on the cost of attending the university and student need. Scholarships are awarded in late May after the students have committed to a university (they are usually accepted at more than one). They cannot apply until they have committed to a university and have a new student ID (for us to write on the check), so we plan to have photos of the scholarship checks reading by May 1 or 2. 2-May-23 by Corie De Anda The scholarship awardees have now been selected and MANA de North County has written the checks and will give them to the girls at our graduation banquet on May 27.
