Project Description Country: USA Location: Fallbrook, CA Total Budget: $1,000 Area of Focus: None Activity Type: Education: Literacy Summary: 3rd grade reading program to educate youth on Benjamin Franklin For the last several years, the Fallbrook Village Rotary Club (FVRC) has conducted an elementary school reading program targeted to 3rd grade children throughout the greater Fallbrook area. Members of FVRC arrange specific reading sessions for each of the 3rd grade classes in each of the Fallbrook schools and present the book, Ben and Now, which provides an opportunity for students to learn about one of our great American leaders, Benjamin Franklin. There is a brief opportunity for questions and answers, and also an opportunity for the presenting Rotarian to provide an age-appropriate overview of Rotary International.
