Project Description Country: USA Location: Craig Total Budget: $1,500 Area of Focus: Community economic development Activity Type: Food/Agriculture: Volunteer Services Summary: Purchasing new roasters for the Craig Comunity Kitchen The Craig Community Kitchen has been serving lunches on Tuesdays and dinners on Thursdays to anyone that needs it for over 13 years. It was started by members of St. Michaels Catholic church and currently serves almost 300 people between walk ins and home deliveries. Their current roasters are old and not working properly. Craig Rotary is purchasing 15 new roasters to help replace the broken ones. The head and founder of the kitchen is a member of the Craig club along with 4 other members of our club that volunteer weekly at the kitchen. In addition the Craig club takes over a shift at the kitchen cooking, serving, delivering and cleaning once a quarter.
