Project Description Country: USA Location: Burleson TX Total Budget: $7,000 Areas of Focus: Maternal and child health, Basic education and literacy Activity Type: Community Development: General Summary: Purchase computers and software for the Center for ASD. The Center for ASD runs on a strict budget to make sure they can support the community they serve. That being said there is a need at the Center for updated computer set ups, due to the fact all of the center staff currently use very basic laptops. Some of their current laptops cannot meet the needs of curriculum and software used so they are often piecing things together. By teachers and admin having up to date systems they will be able to teach more effectively and communicate with families and community more effectively. Also, there is a need for new software to track and support the growing volunteer base. If funds are allowed it will also help offset this cost.
