Project Description Country: USA Location: Ukraine, Turkey, Syria Total Budget: $9,000 Area of Focus: Community economic development Activity Type: Community Development: Disaster Recovery Summary: New Grant replacing P-4585; Shelter Box Deployment Essentials Turkey & Syria: Earthquarkes: We have aid in both countries, including essential items such as tents, blankets, mattresses and winter coats for children. In Turkey, we aim to support a total of 2,000 families. We are working with our partners in Syria to winterized ai to support over 1700 families impacted by the earthquakes. Ukraine: Conflict: In our initial response, we provided 12,000 mattresses to internally displaced people in collective centers and shelter solutions with household items to 6,000 families displaced in Ukraine. We also provided cash assistance and individual hygiene kits to families who have fled to Moldova. We are working on our winterized distribution that will assist or shelter 4,000 families and provide another 1,000 families with stoves and firewood. Separately, we are working on another distribution that will support another 6,000 families.
