Project Description Country: USA Location: Iowa Park, Texas Total Budget: $1,750 Areas of Focus: Water, sanitation and hygiene, Basic education and literacy Activity Type: Community Development: Construction/Renovation Summary: Provide for two Large USA Flags and maintenance at Gordon Lake/Oscar Park for the Community of Iowa Park, Texas Gordon Lake is a small, scenic, well-maintained lake located in the City of Iowa Park. It is very visible by the community when traveling on U.S. Highway 287, a main Iowa Park thoroughfare. This grant will help the City of Iowa Park to provide the necessary funding to maintain the large USA Flag, pole and cement base for several years to come. The Gordon Lake Flag display receives many accolades in our community and is a source of pride in the Iowa Park community. This donation helps the club's image, and thus, helps with our fundraising efforts in the community through our club's Flag Program. This supports contributions for many benevolences that support education, hunger and hygiene projects in our community and abroad.
