Summary: Backpacks filled with basic school supplies and hat/gloves for approximately 200 students in the Kodiak, Alaska school district


There is a local need for low income students to have proper school supplies in Kodiak, AK. This project plans to purchase backpacks with Rotary pins attached on them in the quantity of 300 containing basic school supplies as paper, pencils (Rotary logo pencils), erasers and other required items. The backpacks would be distributed in late August, early September 2014 as school starts. The project funds would be used to purchase the backpacks and the items with them. Club members would be involved in assembling the contents in the backpacks and distributing them with the local schools.
