Summary: DNA Climber for Adaptive Playground for Harrison Elementary

High costs of adaptive playground equipment and lack of resources currently keeps individuals with varied disabilities from experiencing play with their peers. The Idaho Playground Project aims to give every child equal access to play experiences through playgrounds, toys, books and games. Playgrounds are an important part of a child's development. The next playground to get the update is Harrison Elementary in Twin Falls, ID. We will purchase the DNA Climber to assist with their overall project. We plan to assist with their fundraising efforts and help advertise the project and Rotary. Once they have all funds raised and pieces ready for delivery our club will assist in the removal of the old equipment and addition of the new handicap accessible equipment.

The district has already received more requests for grants than the money we'll have to distribute. Tier 3 restrictions require a club to make up the difference if you don't receive 100% of the DDF you're requesting. Will you be able to do this? You won't be able to scale back the project once it is approved. Fundraising is not considered to meet the requirement of active Rotarian involvement. Can you elaborate what your non-fundraising activities will be. Thank you!

I've cancelled the signature process so you can respond to the comments in the previous email. Once you've done that, you'll need to resend for signatures.

We have the funds available to make up the difference if we do not receive 100% of the DDF we are requesting.
