Project Description Country: USA Location: Jackson Hole High School Total Budget: $10,000 Areas of Focus: Basic education and literacy, Community economic development Activity Type: Community Development: Construction/Renovation Summary: Local High School has old and outdated equipment The high Scholl shop has 20 plus year old carpentry equipment. Its machines cant be fixed anymore and we need new and updated machines for the students. Looking to upgrade, implement a higher level of safety code and have the shop but to modern standards. This would help us do that. We have already supplies new work benches and this is a great local project that has been neglected for to long. In the fall of 2024 we have two goals towards improving the student experience in the JHHS woodshop. The first goal is to continue upgrading equipment. To that end, we would like to purchase a number of small tabletop wood lathes. A sample of what we are looking at is here in this link and we would likely purchase three of them for an approximate total of $1800 with shipping included. The remainder of the grant would be used for the purchase of locking storage and shelving units. Rotary members will order and then help install machines as a full day project. History Log Entries 3-Jun-24 by Randall Looper Aron, I need you to make a few changes. Your club's per capita is currently at $81.25 which only qualifies the club for $3,500 DDF. In order to qualify for the $5,000 you requested the per capita needs to be at or over $100 by June 30th. Your 24 -25 club president needs to complete the qualification training which can be found at the following link. https://www.rotary5440.org/page/district-amp-global-grants Once we receive the answers we will send you the MOU which will need to be signed. Can you upload a detailed budget of income and expenses to the documents area of the grant. Also in the description can you add more detail as to what the club members are going to do with the project.
