Project Title: ASD Dictionary Project


Project Description

1. Describe the project. What was done, when and where did project activities take place?

We coordinated with every third grade teacher in the Anchorage School District to schedule a time deliver dictionaries to the third grade students at every school in Anchorage.

2. How many people benefited from this project? 3700

3. Who were the beneficiaries, how were they impacted by this project, and what humanitarian need was met?

We advanced the education of every third grader in the Anchorage School District.

4. How many Rotarians participated in the project? 52

5. What did they do? Please give at least two examples, not including financial support provided to the project.

We hand delivered a dictionary to every third grader in the Anchorage School District. Each delivery, a small introduction to what Rotary is and the other items included in the dictionary were highlighted.

6. If a cooperating organization was involved, what was its role?

Anchorage International, Downtown Rotary, Midtown Rotary and Nome delivered dictionaries to some of the areas.
