Rotary Club: Escondido Sunrise Project Title: Bikes For Kids 1. Describe the project. What was done, when and where did project activities take place? The Club assembled 110 bikes for donation to the 3rd grade class at Central School in Escondido. The bikes were assembled at the shop of Aelott Air Conditioning. 2. How many people benefited from this project? 110 3. Who were the beneficiaries, how were they impacted by this project, and what humanitarian need was met? 110 bikes were given away, many more benefited including the families of the children receiving the bikes as well as the Rotarians who donated their time for assembly and distribution. Economically disadvantaged 3rd grade students at Central School. Most would never have had a new bike. 4. How many Rotarians participated in the project? Approximately 25 Rotarians 5. What did they do? Please give at least two examples, not including financial support provided to the project. The Rotarians assembled the Bikes and tested them for safety as well as delivering them to Central School for presentation. 6. If a cooperating organization was involved, what was its role? Bikes for Kids Foundation provided the unassembled bikes. 7. Income
