Rotary Club: Coronado Project Title: Tree Planting 1. Describe the project. What was done, when and where did project activities take place? Approximately 60 Rotarians from across District 5340 met to plant 1000 cedar trees to replant an area near Julian, CA burned in recent years. 2. How many people benefited from this project? 2000 3. Who were the beneficiaries, how were they impacted by this project, and what humanitarian need was met? Everyone who lives in the area as well as visitors to retail establishments in Julian will soon see mature cedar trees. These new trees will improve the environment, draw more visitors and support local businesses. 4. How many Rotarians participated in the project? 60 5. What did they do? Please give at least two examples, not including financial support provided to the project. All Rotarian traveled to Julian, CA for the project. They were divided into work groups. Some delivered seedings to the planting sites, others dug holes, others planted the seedlings. 6. If a cooperating organization was involved, what was its role? 7. Income
