Project Title: School supplies For Kids


Project Description

1. Describe the project. What was done, when and where did project activities take place?

Our club went shopping with 5 Syrian refugee kids who needed school supplies. We went to several stores to buy pens, pencils, tablets, paper, etc needed for them to start school

2. How many people benefited from this project? 5

3. Who were the beneficiaries, how were they impacted by this project, and what humanitarian need was met?

Louay, Rukaia, Heba, Zamzam, Fatima Alshahhoud. Their family had no disposable income to cover school supplies so these were much needed. The kids are continuing to do well in school with their education

4. How many Rotarians participated in the project? 2

5. What did they do? Please give at least two examples, not including financial support provided to the project.

WE organized the shopping trip and drove the kids around. We also supplied them with lunch in the middle of the trip - paid for separately by us.

6. If a cooperating organization was involved, what was its role?
