Rotary Club: San Diego-Paradise Valley Project Title: Disease Prevention & Treatment 1. Describe the project. What was done, when and where did project activities take place? Medical Mission to the Philippines on Jan 27-Feb.20,2019. The medical mission served children and adults with free doctor consultations, dental treatment, minor surgeries, feeding program, corrective eyeglasses and reading glasses, vitamins and prescription drugs to those that could not afford.Educating the families and public about methods of disease prevention. There were 4 medical sites, under served areas where these services were provided. Sites were: Calapan, Mindoro; San Fabian, Pangasinan; Liam, Batangas and Nabua,Bicol.The medical mission team were aided by Philippine Rotary Clubs, volunteer doctors, nurses, dentists, surgeons from the Philippines and USA. 2. How many people benefited from this project? 7681 3. Who were the beneficiaries, how were they impacted by this project, and what humanitarian need was met? The people of Calapan Mindoro; San Fabian Pangasinan; Liam, Batangas and Nabua, Bicol.They were very happy and appreciative to be able to access free medical consultation, medications,minor surgeries ( cysts removal and circumcision0, dental extraction and treatment, have their own reading/prescription glasses and can finally able to read. Feeding program: children and adults expressed their thank you for a nutritious lunch. What did they do? Please give at least two examples, not including financial support provided to the project. Participated in the feeding Program. 2 Rotarian doctors in consultation. 6.
