Rotary Club: Old Mission (San Diego) Project Title: Youth Services Programs 1. Describe the project. What was done, when and where did project activities take place? This grant was used to help fund Youth Services Programs Including: 4 students to LEAD in October, 2018($1000), 5 students going to RYLA April 2019 (5 x $325 = $1625.), 4 students and 1 adviser to 2019 Model UN($1500.00); 5 students from Madison High School Interact Club to District Interact Symposium 5 x $150.=$750); City Heights Rotaract Club ($1000.--Club training and registration for 5 members to attend Big West Institute in Oakland--$1000; $1000. for New Generations Youth Exchange in Mallorca--airfare; $630. for City Heights Rotaract Board Retreat 2. How many people benefited from this project? 200 3. Who were the beneficiaries, how were they impacted by this project, and what humanitarian need was met? The beneficiaries were all young people involved in various District and Rotary International Youth programs. Their education, enrichment, and inspiration will hopefully result in more Rotarians in the future and a better world because of it. 4. How many Rotarians participated in the project? 50-60 5. What did they do? Please give at least two examples, not including financial support provided to the project. Rotarians serve as club advisers to Rotaract & Interact Clubs; facilitators at LEAD, RYLA, Model UN, and Interact Symposium. 6. If a cooperating organization was involved, what was its role? District must retain receipts of all expenditures for at least five years.
