Rotary Club: Anchorage East Project Title: Human Trafficking Cyber Team 1. Describe the project. What was done, when and where did project activities take place? Anchorage East Rotary put on a beer festival in partnership with Fur Rendezvous that was designed to be a charity fundraiser to support the needs of human trafficking victims and to help engage in the fight against human trafficking. Approximately 50 Rotary volunteers helped to put on the festival the day of the event along with another core team of 8-10 volunteers to planned and executed the event. 2. How many people benefited from this project? Approximately 20 human trafficking survivors benefited from this specific project. 3. Who were the beneficiaries, how were they impacted by this project, and what humanitarian need was met? The beneficiaries are survivors of human trafficking. This project helped to supply their basic essential needs (food, clothing, hygiene, etc.) after being rescued from their situation. 4. How many Rotarians participated in the project? 50 5. What did they do? Please give at least two examples, not including financial support provided to the project. They helped to plan the event, fund raise through promoting ticket sales and corporate sponsors, coordinated the event, and volunteered the day of the event. This project promotes peace by providing support for victims in our community and provides hygiene to the survivors. 6. If a cooperating organization was involved, what was its role? Fur Rendezvous, Love Alaska, and the Brewers Guild of Alaska were our cooperating organizations. Rondy has been the primary marketing arm of the event, Love Alaska has helped to provide volunteers and is the non-profit who oversees the Priceless initiative, and BGA partnered by approving and promoting the event within the Alaska brewing community. 7.
