Rotary Club: Anchorage Project Title: The Children's Lunchbox 1. Describe the project. What was done, when and where did project activities take place? Funds were used specifically to provide pantry packs to the food pantries at three Title 1 elementary schools. Each pantry pack costs $10; each of these packs feeds a family of four. This started in January at Alaska Native Cultural Charter School. 2. How many people benefited from this project? 300 pantry packs x families of four 3. Who were the beneficiaries, how were they impacted by this project, and what humanitarian need was met? Funds were also used for their Step-up campaign. Due to ASD school closures, the Children’s Lunchbox has four sites operating Monday, Wednesday and Fridays where children and families can access food through a drive through model in the parking lot. The pantry boxes contain a breakfast, lunch, or dinner, with enough to feed a family of four (4). Individuals can arrive in person, or drive through and grab and-go their pantry boxes. Each family will receive two (2) boxes while supplies last. One for the day of distribution and one for the following day. 4. How many Rotarians participated in the project? Many Club members have helped prepare the pantry packs (until the COVID-19 pamdemic) 5. What did they do? Please give at least two examples, not including financial support provided to the project. Assist with breaking down bulk deliveries and assembling pantry packs. 6. If a cooperating organization was involved, what was its role? The Children's Lunchbox is an offshoot of Bean's Café; some of their facilities and equipment were used. 7. Income
