Project Description

1. Describe the project. What was done, when and where did project activities take place?

We sent students to LEAD. Our RYLA and Model UN projects were both cancelled due to Covid-19. We decided to use the rest of the grant to award Copley-Price YMCA scholarships and to supply backpacks and food through the International Relief Team to youth from financially challenged families in the San Diego area.

2. How many people benefited from this project? We estimate around 500 to 600

Youth from financially challenged families

Organize the LEAD students, Meet with the people from the YMCA and International Relief Team

soliciting students for lead, investigating who needs YMCA Scholarships, Distributing food packs
