Rotary Club: North County San Diego-Route 78 Project Title: Rise Against Hunger-North Coun 1. Describe the project. What was done, when and where did project activities take place? The project was to package meals as purchased from and provided by Rise Against Hunger. The project took place Saturday, January 11, 2020 at Mission Hills High School in San Marcos. All together we packaged some 11,000 meals. Two other clubs participated with $500 donations each, the Del Mar Rotary Club, and San Marcos Rotary Club. We had about 20 Rotarian's and and 64 students from Mission Hills High School. We took about 1.5 hours to package all the meals. 2. How many people benefited from this project? 11,000 meals paks feed 6 people each: up to 66,000 3. Who were the beneficiaries, how were they impacted by this project, and what humanitarian need was met? The beneficiaries were those who received the meals from Rise Against Hunger. Having food was for those in need was the humanitarian need met. 4. How many Rotarians participated in the project? 20 5. What did they do? Please give at least two examples, not including financial support provided to the project. It was a group effort of setting up for the packaging, packaging the food, weighing and sealing the food, and boxing the food. Also, several made sure the the packagers were supplied with the necessary ingredients. 6. If a cooperating organization was involved, what was its role? Rise Against Hunger provided the food, packaging tools and supplies, and distributed the food to those in need. 7. Income
