Rotary Club: Del Mar Project Title: Chechen Refrugee Support 1. Describe the project. What was done, when and where did project activities take place? The Rotary Club of Del Mar assisted The Rotary Club of Grozny, Chechnya by helping poor, refugee families clothe their school aged children during the winter months. The funds were spent on winter clothing for Chechen refugee children, specifically 26 children's coats and shoes for 10 boys and 9 girls were purchased. 2. How many people benefited from this project? 26 3. Who were the beneficiaries, how were they impacted by this project, and what humanitarian need was met? Chechen school aged children benefitted from new shoes and winter coats to wear to school during the harsh winter months and throughout the year. 4. How many Rotarians participated in the project? 2 5. What did they do? Please give at least two examples, not including financial support provided to the project. Rotarians from the Rotary Club of Grozny in Chechnya purchased the clothing and shoes for the children. 6. If a cooperating organization was involved, what was its role? NA 7. Income
