Rotary Club: La Jolla Project Title: Tijuana Lab Computer upgrade 1. Describe the project. What was done, when and where did project activities take place? We purchased equipment to upgrade the scholars lab video conferencing capability as detailed in the original grant and documented in the attached receipts. The equipment was installed by one of our technical support people who was himself a graduate of the lab. The equipment has been in use since September, 2019 2. How many people benefited from this project? 28 students in the scholars lab this year (and available into the future) and five teachers from San Diego 3. Who were the beneficiaries, how were they impacted by this project, and what humanitarian need was met? The students in Tijuana who are able to receive English instruction both remotely and occasionally in person by Rotarians and other volunteers from San Diego. These students have historically been 7th grade dropouts, but owing to the impact of the lab, are able to complete high school and frequently go onto University 4. How many Rotarians participated in the project? Approxoimately 20 from both the San Diego and Tijuana Clubs. 5. What did they do? Please give at least two examples, not including financial support provided to the project. Provide teaching and support to the students in the lab by coordinating teaching across the border. 6. If a cooperating organization was involved, what was its role? The cooperating organizations were the Rotary Club of La Jolla and Club Rotario de Tijuana. Please note that the Rotary Club of La Jolla paid the additional $84.44 to complete the project. The computers are installed and in use and we are able to seamlessly Skype with the students from San Diego and hear their responses as they pass the microphone around. 7. Income

District must retain receipts of all expenditures for at least five years. Please scan and upload to the project's "Documents" tab all invoices (be sure they are marked "paid"), receipts and/or copies of checks for the full amount of the project budget. By signing this report, I confirm that to the best of my knowledge these District Grant funds were spent only for eligible items in accordance with Trustee-approved guidelines, and that all of the information contained herein is true and accurate.
