Rotary Club: Old Mission (San Diego) Project Title: Pacific Beach Mini Resource Fa 1. Describe the project. What was done, when and where did project activities take place? At the Health Fair we will partner with a church in Pacific Beach that hosts supportive services for the homeless population and Think Dignity. We will invite multiple partners to provide health-related services: nutritious meals and healthy CalFresh information, distribute hygiene kits and socks, provide optical services, showers, and health/dental screenings. 2. How many people benefited from this project? Estimating 100-150 will attend 3. Who were the beneficiaries, how were they impacted by this project, and what humanitarian need was met? The beneficiaries will be the homeless population in Pacific Beach. Their distance from downtown San Diego makes it challenging to access essential services. We hope they can identify any health problems early on and get the resources they need for them. 4. How many Rotarians participated in the project? Estimating at least 10 Rotarians and many more Rotaractors 5. What did they do? Please give at least two examples, not including financial support provided to the project. Rotaractors will be coordinating with the beneficiary organizations and the venue. They will also be volunteering on-site at the health fair. We're hoping to engage Rotarians in providing in-kind donations such as toiletries for the hygiene kits and to also provide volunteer support the day of the health fair. 6. If a cooperating organization was involved, what was its role? Our primary beneficiary organization Think Dignity will be helping coordinate the health fair by inviting their homeless services partner organizations and providing their Street Cafe program. 7.
