Rotary Club: Rancho Bernardo Sunrise (San Diego) Project Title: Covid-19 Community Assistance 1. Describe the project. What was done, when and where did project activities take place? The project was changed due to safety precautions for RB Sunrise Rotary Club members. The project included 1. Purchasing materials and making 151 non-medical masks for Rady Children's COVID-19 Medical Equipment Initiative - $130.25 2. Purchasing $1,500 in $50 meal cards for Belmont Village Senior Living deserving overworked staff who have worked many hours of overtime during this Covid-19 crisis. 2. How many people benefited from this project? 181 3. Who were the beneficiaries, how were they impacted by this project, and what humanitarian need was met? 1. Beneficiaries for non-medical masks were 151 adults at Rady Children's Hospital who benefited from using the masks for safety against Covid-19. 2. Beneficiaries for $1500 in meal cards included deserving overworked staff at Belmont Village Senior Living who have worked many hours of overtime to make sure the seniors living there did not contract the COVID-19 illness. 4. How many Rotarians participated in the project? 3 5. What did they do? Please give at least two examples, not including financial support provided to the project. 1.Jon Shea purchased meal cards from Panera and In-n-Out and gave to Laura Mello to give to Belmont Village Senior Living 2. Laura Mello purchased meal cards from Chik-fil-A and Mama Cella's and went to Belmont Village Senior Living to deliver to Inan Linton, the Executive Director of Belmont Village. 3. Kim Muslusky who purchased materials and was given free material to make non-medical masks. 6. If a cooperating organization was involved, what was its role? 1. Rady Children's Hospital - received the 151 non-medical masks. 2. Belmont Village Senior Living received the $1,500 in $50 gift cards for its deserving overworked staff. 7. Income
