Rotary Club: San Diego Coastal Project Title: COVID 19 - Support CRC 1. Describe the project. What was done, when and where did project activities take place? This grant supports the Community Resource Center in fighting hunger, homelessness and domestic violence in our communities. Domestic violence and food insecurity has been increasing due to strict quarantine, economic crisis and growing unemployment during the pandemic. The CRC helps those in need in the North County including Vista, Oceanside, Carlsbad, San Marcos. 2. How many people benefited from this project? each month, CRC helps hundreds of people 3. Who were the beneficiaries, how were they impacted by this project, and what humanitarian need was met? One in every 8 people in North County live below the poverty line. The CRC has a emergency food distribution center in Encinitas. The CRC helps all victims of domestic violence and and has a domestic violence hotline and shelter. They also provide other services for vulnerable women and children such as financial, housing and career resources. 4. How many Rotarians participated in the project? none 5. What did they do?
