Project Title: Food Drive Chula Vista


Project Description

1. Describe the project. What was done, when and where did project activities take place?

A food drive was done on April 25, 2020, asking for donations from the Chula Vista community to support the Salvation Army in Chula Vista, Salvation Army are preparing meals and doing food packages for lest fortunate families that are been affected financially by the COVID-19 crisis.

Families in need are been supported by providing food packages that they can use to continue been healthy and be ready to go back to normal life after the crisis is over.

A check donation of $850 USD was issued to the Salvation Army Chula Vista Corps, to purchase food for the Chula Vista area and donate it to people in need per the pandemic.

Total of $270.27 USD were expense from the Rotary Club of Chula Vista Eastlake in purchasing non-perishable food, plus club members and other people did personal donations of non-perishable food.

The total donations were calculated to be close to $1,500 USD

Families with financial problems in the Chula Vista community; eliminate hunger and support there physical performance

between there family and social media friends promoted the event to obtain food donations, pick up the donations and delivered to the Salvation Army.
