Project Title: COVID-19 SD Youth Services


Project Description

1. Describe the project. What was done, when and where did project activities take place?

San Diego Youth Services was in need of critical items like gloves, masks, hygiene supplies, cleaning supplies, hand soap, hand sanitizer, laundry soap, grocery gift cards like Ralphs, Vons and Target, Socks, Snacks, and care kits for the youth to stay entertained while in quarantine. They have been providing services like shelter and mental services for the youth. Many who during this time have been vulnerable and have no where to go. SD Youth services has remained open and available to assist.

2. How many people benefited from this project? SD youth services helps 28,000 youth in San Diego.

3. Who were the beneficiaries, how were they impacted by this project, and what humanitarian need was met?

They service homeless,runaway and other vulnerable youth throughout San Diego County. They have remained open during this pandemic to ensure our most vulnerable youth are supported. Our donation helped contribute to a list of critical items the organization was in need of. Many of the items were necessary to ensure the safety of the staff and youth during this pandemic.
