District Grant Final Report

District 5010

Rotary Club: Fairbanks Sunrisers

Project Title: Covid 19 Family Resources

Project Description

1. Describe the project. What was done, when and where did project activities take place?

the project was designed to raise money to benefit families affected by the pandemic. With the difficulties of putting together a fundraiser because of being unable to gather crowds, we relied on our own Rotarians to donate the money required to satisfy our end to match the $3,000 grant.

2. How many people benefited from this project? at least 50-75

3. Who were the beneficiaries, how were they impacted by this project, and what humanitarian need was met?

four families from the Rescue Mission, families that visit the Soup Stone Cafe in Fairbanks and kids whose families find it difficult to provide them a proper school lunch.

4. How many Rotarians participated in the project? 34

5. What did they do? Please give at least two examples, not including financial support provided to the project.

The donated their money, they met with three non-profit organizations and their employees to learn how we could best help.

6. If a cooperating organization was involved, what was its role?

The told us how our money would benefit families at the rescue mission, adults who need a warm meal throughout the day and children who need help that their parents can't provide in getting a decent meal during their school day.
