Project Description

1. Describe the project. What was done, when and where did project activities take place?

COVID-19 Disease Prevention and Treatment, Health Disease

The District Grant Funds was used to purchase Alcohol Foot Dispenser to 39 communities in Bauang, La Union, Philippines in response to the COVID-19 pandemic to ensure the the safety of the people in these communities.

This is a joint project with the Rotary Club of Bauang, Philippines District 3790.

The Rotary Club of Bauang maintains the dispenser, by refilling the alcohol dispenser as needed for the people to use.

2. How many people benefited from this project? 3000

3. Who were the beneficiaries, how were they impacted by this project, and what humanitarian need was met?

The people in the 39 communities.

Having the alcohol foot dispenser available in these communities allows them to be able to sanitize their hands and observed health protocols in addition to social distancing and wearing facial coverings.

4. How many Rotarians participated in the project? 20 Rotarians

5. What did they do? Please give at least two examples, not including financial support provided to the project.

Purchasing the Alcohol Foot Dispenser, delivering to the 39 communities and refilling as needed.
